Three Little Monkeys Studio is a husband and wife team in the Kansas City area who have three little red-haired monkeys and are the inspiration behind the business name.
Back in 2010, Gretchen was inspired to share the designs she made for her own children and opened an Etsy shop selling invitations, DIY printables and began styling parties.
With a love for paper, parties, DIY and everything vintage, Gretchen strives to create one-of-a-kind designs for life’s special celebrations and share fun tutorials and DIY projects. Tom is behind the scenes, wrangling kids and helping with Gretchen’s orders.
Her work has been featured on Hostess With The Mostess, Pizzazzerie, Amy Atlas, The Party Wagon, Catch My Party, The Huffington Post, PopSugar and in the pages of VintageKC magazine.
So why Vintage?
Gretchen graduated with a BA in History from the University of Kansas with plans to work as a curator, but an internship exposed her to graphic design and marketing, and a new passion was born. She went to art school and worked in graphic design before starting her own studio. Though the love of history stayed with her (so she loves the History Channel, what of it?!?), she found she was able to combine her two loves in her own original designs. That’s why in some of her listings you’ll find her talking about the history of the illustrations used. Still a history geek at heart.
Thanks for stopping by Three Little Monkeys Studio!
