What Dad doesn’t love an ice cold beverage and a personalized gift from his favorite little people? This photo gift idea and free Father’s Day printables kit serves up both! Cheers, Dad!
While shopping for gift ideas on Shutterfly, I came across these personalized photo coasters and knew they would make such a great gift for Father’s Day!
And it couldn’t be any easier to put together. You can print the PDF on full sheet label paper or cardstock (I did both so I had tags and stickers!). Then attach to a beverage carrier and add smaller tags to beverages, bags of his favorite snacks … there is so much room to be creative here and make a truly personalized gift that is a bit sentimental and yummy.
Smaller tags work great tied around bottles or other gift items. Loved the chalkboard labels on this IPA from our hometown Boulevard Brewing Company. But if beer isn’t his thing, his favorite soda can be used too. These would work great on root bear, ginger ale or even a great bottle of wine.
My favorite part of the gift idea is this set of coasters from Shutterfly. They are super thick, durable, and the print quality is fantastic! They are perfect for Dad’s desk at work or his man cave. To order your own, just upload your four favorite photos to Shutterfly. I chose to use photos of the kids from our family vacation at the beach this year. Such happy memories that are sure to bring a smile!
It was so easy to upload the photos and order, and they were shipped so quickly with emails sent out when they were printed and shipped to keep me updated.
To assemble, I simply tied the coasters up with some jute twine and added a tag from the free Father’s Day printables. Then I tucked it into the beverage carrier I ordered online from BOOZEBIN on Etsy, though you can upcycle any beverage carrier as long as it has enough cubbies for your drinks and snacks. Such a fun presentation, right?
See how cute these coasters are tucked in there?!?
To keep the coasters from falling into the beverage carrier, I made two cuts in the middle of one of the dividers to create a flap. Then I folded it down to create a little nook for the coasters to rest so they don’t get lost in the carrier. Don’t know about your Dad, but ours would totally overlook it if it wasn’t right in front of him (wink-wink)!
Finally, I attached a large sticker to the outside of the beverage carrier. I made my stickers using WorldLabel.com’s full sheet label paper. Love that label paper. But in a pinch, you could also use cardstock and attach with glue dots or double-sided tape.
I also made some extra tags you can add to bags of popcorn and nuts (or other treats). I printed these on the same label paper and attached to treat bags, available from hobby and craft stores in the baking section. You could even tuck the bags of treats into the beverage carrier too. I tried to cover the bases and give you some options that would cover just about anything you needed to include.
This set of printables is a free download over on Shutterfly’s Blog. Just download and print on full-sheet label paper, cardstock or matte photo paper. Then trim with scissors or craft punches. The small circles are 2″ while the large circles are 4.25″.
Here’s a toast to all of the dad’s killing it out there! We love you. Cheers!
