Summer flew by this year! We barely made a dent in our Summer bucket list and didn’t get in nearly as many playdates as we hoped, so one last get together with good friends was in order before school started. And since our girls live for all things crafty and cute, we decided on a Crafternoon With Beados and some of our besties.
If you haven’t heard of Beados, it is an arts and crafts line of Moose Toys. In three easy steps, kids can create cute characters with colorful beads that fuse together with a quick spray of water. No glue, no mess! I’m down with that.
The girls were so excited to get started with their friends. They were seriously circling me as I set up for our playdate.
We had a Quick Dry Design Station, Teapot Cafe Activity Pack, and two themed refills to share–Bag Boutique and Puppies at Play. Both were super cute.
When I finally ripped open the packages, the girls were in a frenzy and dug in right away. The cute puppy templates were in high demand with these girls!
Eack kit comes with beads, a bead storage tray (picture above), design templates, design tray (pictured below), a tweezer pen, display stands, and a spray bottle. Plenty of things to go around, choose from and share with friends.
It’s super simple. You put the template behind the clear tray and follow the template by adding the colored beads on top to make your design. Very easy activity for our crew who ranged in age from 4-10 years old.
Look at those fine motor skills! So much concentration building penguins and puppies.
Once you have your design set, you spray it with water. No glue needed! Just wait for it to dry.
That’s where the Quick Dry Design Station makes things easier. 15 minutes under the fan, and this cute puppy is ready!
Once it is dry, gently peel your creation off of the tray, place in a stand, and use your imagination. Each activity and themed pack also comes with cute matching scenes to make character play easy and fun.
This is such an easy and cute craft project that we’ll be using a lot around here to keep those little hands busy. And since Beados are available at Target and other retailers, refills will be easy on this mom to find!
This is such a fun, original and creative idea! I love that it just sprays together with water.
Agreed! No extra stuff needed which is what we loved!
Interesting beads! I’ve never heard of them before but I like the no mess part.
They have such a fun texture too, Lisa. Kinda squishy. The kids love them!
What a fun project — but the no mess is the best part!
Agreed!
Super cute! I’ve never heard of these before but I’m definitely going to be looking for them at the store now. I love that you don’t have to bake or melt them.
I hadn’t either, but they are the new thing! I love that my girls can play with them on their own because heat, glue and all of that other stuff isn’t necessary.
Fun! My boys are always asking me about stuff that they see on TV, and this is one of the things on their wishlist, so I’m glad to know that it works well! Adding it to our holiday list!
OH BOY! My kids would LOVE these! I’ve never heard of them before so thanks for sharing this.
Those are adorable. And just water? Awesome!
I love finding new “girl” things to do! I have three older boys and one lone little girl … we NEED girly things to do!
This looks not only fun but a bit “educational” with thinking and coordination. I would of loved this as a young girl and it looks like something I would have fun with even now!
How neat! My boys will like those!
This looks like a ton of fun!
How cute!! Looks like lots of fun!
This is interesting. Kinda reminds me of the old Light Brite sets!
I was just thinking what Chris said Lite Bright! Love this what a fun way to spend time with the Besties!
What a seriously fun & creative way to spend the afternoon!
