Looking for creative greeting card ideas to surprise someone on their birthday? This Birthday Party in a Pail is a fun way to do just that. Show someone you care with a pail stuffed with party supplies for one and your favorite birthday Hallmark Value Card.
Wouldn’t this be fun to deliver to a friend at work or leave on a neighbor’s front porch?
First thing to do is head to Walmart and pick up a Hallmark Value Card. There are so many great options!
Once you have your card selected, it’s time to select other fun things for the birthday girl or boy. I picked up a cupcake from the bakery department, and then some confetti, candles, and blowouts from the party section. The pail I already had on hand, but you could use any kind of pail or basket.
Ready? First, peel the stickers off your cupcake. The stickers on the cupcake were really big, and I wanted the recipient to be able to see it. I added a bit of washi tape for some color. If you can’t find a single serving cupcake, they also had slices of cake, little cheesecakes and all kinds of yummy stuff.
Next, begin stuffing the pail with all of your gifts and attach a pretty ribbon. Gift cards would be so fun in here too. Then top it off with a ribbon. I found this pretty pink curled ribbon near Hallmark’s cards.
Now you’re ready to make someone’s birthday just a bit more special. Surprise!
Did you know there is a Hallmark Card Rewards Program? You can earn rewards for the Hallmark cards you buy at Walmart for any occasion. For every five cards you buy, you’ll earn a reward. Yay!
