A Fairy Princess Party

Thanks to U.S. Toy company for sponsoring this post!

When you are a little girl, there is nothing more magical than playing dress up, and even better is pretending to be a fairy princess. Crowns, magic wands and glittery wings … what’s not to love?!? So I really tried to capture that childhood magic with this sweet Fairy Princess party.

A Fairy Princess Party

When I designed this table, I wanted it to feel like a magical forest, so I tried to incorporate lots of natural elements like moss, wood and florals.

I picked up several bouquets from Target and made lots of small arrangements in mason jars. They complimented the colors of our sweets and smelled wonderful.

The wood slices were repurposed from my daughter’s unicorn birthday party last year. I got them from Save On Crafts, but sometimes I see them at hobby stores. They are great to put food items on (as long as they haven’t been treated).

The fairy princesses arrived … and they have to check out all of the sweets.

Each girl received a set of fairy wings and a wand, tutu and a tiara. The tiaras had a comb that helped those crowns stay put.

So many yummy treats … so little time.

The focal point of this table is definitely the two-tiered buttercream cake. The bottom layer is quilted with sugar pearls, while the top layer features rose swirls. The cake is topped with a pretty pink tiara from U.S. Toy.

The cake was made by the mother of my daughter’s best friend, Tawnya of KlassyKakes. Didn’t she do a great job?

So my husband has a thing for Target’s Vanilla Bean cupcakes. Have you tried them? They are pretty amazing and come in a 4-pack. They look so pretty topped with mini tiaras from U.S. Toy and wrapped in these pretty pink cupcakes liners I found in Michael’s dollar bins.

I attended Go Blog Social, a local social media conference, a few weeks ago and had the please of meeting Sarah and Colleen from Colors Macarons. I was so excited to meet them and try their macarons. They are amazing, and they ship nationwide. These girls are pretty awesome (check out their Facebook page).

Fairy Princess Favors

Every party needs a perfect ending, and these Fairy Princess Jewel Jars were just that. Small jars were filled with layers of gold coins, jewel rings and bead necklaces from U.S. Toy. I made a favor tag for them with a vintage fairy illustration that says “Thanks for an enchanted afternoon!”. I tied on a bit of glittery tulle and a magic wand to go!

It wouldn’t be a fairy party without a little Fairy Dust. These cute mini jars were a Pick Your Plum deal, but you can find them in hobby stores. I filled these little guys with glitter from U.S. Toy, added a little tag and tied on a little fringe twine picked up in Target’s dollar bins.

Fairy Princess Activities

Fairy Princesses need lots of fun activities, so I came up with three to keep them busy. First, we made frames for our princess selfies. Felt frames were decorated with sets of princess and heart foam stickers from U.S. Toy. They were so cute.

Next, each girl was given a Fairy Doll Making Kit. Reese was beaming about this one. They have everything you need–glue, yarn, fabric, etc.–and all of the pieces are already cut, making it easy to assemble.

And finally, each girl was given a My Very Own Fairy Light kit. The kit includes everything you need to make an adorable fairy night light, rose wand or you can wear it as a ring. It was so cute!
